Day 7 – Beating Procrastination And Overwhelm
The Challenge: Pick one imperfect action that you can take every day that will move you closer to the life you have envisioned.
This is one of those challenges where my initial reaction went something like, “You want me to do what?”
How do I pick an imperfect action and do it every single day? That reminds me of Einstein’s quote that insanity is “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results“. Then it hit me; I’ve already been doing an imperfect action every day for the last 6 days and getting different results! Insane? I don’t think so. In sticking close to the criteria of the challenge responses, I am writing shorter posts – something I needed to work on. That need for brevity has helped me to be more economical with my words. As imperfect as my posts are, I can identify some measure of improvement. That’s awesome!
So, therein lies the best answer to the challenge I can think of. My one imperfect action is to write a minimum of one post a day, something in the 200 to 500-word range.
Oddly, I feel encouraged and almost nearly unafraid. Woo hoo! (Shhh, shhh…)
Until next time, remember:
